Every year its costs approx £12,000 to light up the town and that doesnt include replacing aged or damaged lights/features or buying new ones to extend. This year we are faced with increased costs of £2100 meaning that next year £14,000 will be the bare minimum we need to raise annually.
Spenborough Chamber of Trade members work hard throughout the year to raise the shortfall after the £1700 grant from Kirklees Street Lighting.

Cleckheaton's Christmas Lights will be switched on by Santa at 5pmfollowing an afternoon of enetertainment on the main stage.
